| I am about to go to my first Kiwanis Club meeting in 15 minutes. Is there anything wrong with having been a rotarian and now looking at being in Kiwanis. Anyway I am just visiting since my predecessor had been going there and they just gave us some money a couple of weeks ago. I would have to say that the married life is amazing in all aspects of it. Learning to share space is a lot of fun too! I'm really glad the food is good! I will have to load some more recent pictures soon. I'd Better Go! |

| Today I get to answer phones at the JOC center (I don't know what JOC stands for)in the 911 center for the Immigrant Rally Parade as a liaison the city of Chicago and The Salvation Army. Anywho, if the city needed help from The Salvation Army or if there was a problem then they would talk to me and I would call the person in charge at DHQ(I'll try to clarify better in my next entries).
So far it is pretty awesome to see how it all works and how everyone works together. They had zoomed in on a guy who seemed lost and they were making fun of him. That was really the only fun thing that happened, but the whole set-up was cool.
Today I also received my wedding band in the mail finally and I get to see it tonight!
My new corps in Chicago is really awesome! All of the people seem to be pretty excited with everything going on. However, all of the highrises were torn down all around the corps. There will be some really fun challenges ahead, but I am really excited to see what God has in store for us.
I will try to be up to date more often. |

| I just got my first moves this past weekend! I am really excited to be going to the Midwest Corps in Chicago and I am even more excited for James Scott to be replacing me here in the sweet city of East St. Louis, IL! |

| Last week our Corps was able to go to Springfield MO for our annual mission's trip. We were able to help with their daily homeless feeding program, their thrift store for getting things ready for their expansion project, and with cleaning their corps. We were also able to help with one of their youth programs, and with joining in with another one of their youth programs where we were able to get to know each other and to interact with one another.
We also had other great fun on our trip as the first night we bowled with their adult league where I was beat by two different women, and we went to Lamberts, the home of the throwed rolls. Thursday we were able to go to a Civil War battle field which was great fun and quite an educational experience. I had to answer the question, "Did they use rocket launchers in the Civil War?" Friday we were able to go to Silver Dollar City which was quite the experience. Watch out for the "Powder Keg"!
It was a great experience for our youth! A common disturbing problem for our teens was the answer to one of their other questions, "Don't they have R&B stations here, why are there only Country stations on the radio?" Overall, other than a fight that happened, it was a great trip!
The Corps cleaning!
The Thrift Store!

The Battlefield!

The Battle Field Museum!

The Bass Pro Shop!

The disappointment for having to go into the cave.

This is all of the fun after the Powder Keg!
